You know what? If we still lived in Savannah, I would CONSIDER letting Katie Joyner, Savannah's newest expert photographer take some shots of my ever-growing belly once it really sticks out there. But alas, we do not live in Savannah, so no belly pictures for you!
But seriously, in addition to her website, check out her blog at www.katiejoynerphotography.blogspot.com.
She is an artist.
That was an amazing article you passed on to me about Dr's. VS. Home births. Thanks!!!! We were planning on a home birth with our first one, but emergency shot that down. Since then ALL off my friends have had them. I've watched 6 of my friends have successful home births over the past 2 years and none of them needed any intervention, while other people I know, their birth stories are long and filled with all of the drama of intervention. I have to birth at a hospital because of my c-section with the first one.....but I actually have found that I like it :) I like pushing a button and someone brings me a diet coke. I like dropping my towels on the floor and someone besides my husband picks them up and brings me new ones. I like someone besides my husband cooking the food and doing the dishes :) I like that someone has to stay at home with the other kids, while my husband and I get to enjoy the new one. I think both ways of birth have their advantages. As with most things related to parenting, it really comes down to whats best for your family.
Delivered as one might speak to a puppy or a very old person.
