Last night, before eating Italian with a kick at La Caterina, we were treated to the music of local bluegrass great, Ben Scales.

According to his site, his song, "Growing Marijuana In My Yard," was released in December 2002 and reached the top of the Bluegrass chart on February 10, 2003, and stayed there for 10 months. Not bad.

Now, I don't smoke marijuana, medical or otherwise. But I found his song to be quite hilarious. But to my embarrassment, upon gazing around the other audience members, however, I realized I might have been somewhat alone in my mirth...

Maybe it's a Midwestern Appalachian thing. And some of those folks were Yankees. That's probably it.

Oh, and Ray Ray, we watched an entire show on public television dedicated to one woman's love of the Paw Paw.
