It wasn't my first Un-conference, but today I lost my BlogOrlando virginity. I had heard from other people how great of an experience BlogOrlando was. They told me how much I was missing out...I hadn't really lived until I had been BlogOrlando'ed. It is so inspiring, they said. But I held back. What would people think? I wanted my first time to be special, you know?
I want you to know that I don't regret a thing. It was fleeting, but the hours we spent BlogOrlando'ing each other will stay with me for the rest of my days. In fact, I will forever measure future...um...encounters by the lovely memories we made in the many halls of Rollins College. Turns out they're not as conservative as we thought, eh?
So this one's for you, Josh, Judson, Shel (although, we could have been a tad more discreet), Nik, Tommy, Sherry, Timothy Jake and Alicia.
You were all AMAZING.

That's right, Chumps. While you were pittering away another Friday at your desk, working for the man, I broke pita with THE Man...
For context as to why I am holding up my bra strap...go here.
In case you've been living under a social media rock, Shel Israel is um, kind of imporant. The Mick Jagger of the blogosphere, if you will.
Shel, is that why you spell Neighbourhood with a "U"?
Oh yeah, Boy Wonder Judson ate with us too...

Although I hesitate to align myself (reputation-wise) with Judson, an esteemed BlogOrlando07 presenter...my fellow blogger, who also attended BlogSavannah's UnCon07, stunned an overcrowded room of his pupils (sitting room only!) when he admitted that indeed, he is 16 years old.
I don't believe you, Judson. Being 16 is part of your brand. It's brilliant. From now on, I am 25. Let it be so.
Oh, and by the way, Judson...this is priceless. When you are running your own multi-billion conglomerate in a few years, please remember the little people when you are hiring a p.r. staff, Mmmmkay?

After only minor technical difficulties, me and my Mac are juiced at BlogOrlando07!
In an embarrassing turn of events, as I walked through the door, BlogOrlando creator and organizer Josh Hallett introduced me to keynote speaker Shel Israel. I could have sworn there was amusement in Josh's voice. See previous post.

A close, respected friend and colleague broke the news to me today that my use of the f-word on this blog is inappropriate. I was under the impression that the f-word was a favored tool of consensus building in professional settings. I am grateful to her for bringing this to my attention. Otherwise, I might have continued to drop the f-bomb, offending valued friends, family members and guests.
I'm just fucking kidding. Of course I'm going to keep writing it. All five people who read this are OK with that, right? Let's have a poll:
Q: Should Excruciatingly Normal become a "fuck free" environment?
Your volley.
Less than 24 hours to BlogOrlando07!
I am so fucking excited. I will be sharing air with BlogOrlando keynote speaker Shel Israel, rock star of the blogging world, author of blogging manifesto Naked Conversations and of course his own blog, Global Neighbourhoods.
I'll be the blogging groupie in the front row, Shel. I'm not gonna throw my bra atcha, though. So don't ask.
